Statewide Senior NYO Games 2010

The statewide Senior NYO Games were held at the Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center on April 22 through 24. Congratulations to team Kenaitze athletes Josephine Daniels who placed 2nd in the Indian Stick Pull and Jonny Wilson who placed 3rd in the Eskimo Stick Pull, and team Salamatof athlete Corey Olympic who placed 5th in the Indian Stick Pull. Congratulations to all Kenaitze and Salamatof athletes who went with us and did their best: Chelsey Ahlers, Kendra Ahlers, Christopher Anderson, James Andrew, Robert Bearheart, Blair Borkowski, Josephine Daniels, Shane Fortune, Sawyer Gillilan, Winton Komonaseak, Shawna Kowchee, Corey Olympic, Antonia Standifer, Johnny Trux, Samantha Vandenburgh, Raven Williams, Shyanne Williams, and Jonathan Wilson. Good job athletes!

2010 Junior State NYO Compeition

The 2010 Junior NYO Games Alaska were held at Begich Middle School in Anchorage on February 19-21, 2010.

Congratulations to all the athletes who attended and competed in this year's event: Andrew Wilson, Caitlyn Tri, Chase Chenault, Cynthia Ellis, Gregory Van Velzor, Hannah Phillips, Hanna Segura, Isaiah Williams, Julianne Wilson, Kassidy Oder, Katherine Van Velzor, Kavekah Stogner, Nadia Walluk, Nereid Phillips, Priscilla Phillips, Ruby Williams, and Steven McKendry. Everybody did their best and had a good time.

Congratulations to Julianne Wilson for taking 3rd place in the 1-foot high kick and 2nd place in the scissor broad jump.
